It is odd to start a blog with a title calling a Disney themed hotel underrated, but that is the impression if you read a lot of the Disney related sites and posts from visitors. For the Disney fans I am writing about, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, of course. SSR as it is known to the Disney Vacation Club members (DVC) is the largest DVC resort on property and usually the easiest to find a room (from a DVC point of view anyway).

In a previous article I mentioned how much I enjoy Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and that it is my favourite resort on property. Funny thing is, when my family were booking our upcoming spring break vacation we chose SSR over Wilderness Lodge. In fact we had a choice of any of the Disney DVC resorts on property and still we chose SSR. Why? Why would I not choose my favourite resort? Well the thing is, Wilderness Lodge is my favourite because of the theming, however I like SSR for many other reasons including the theming. Continue reading “The most underrated hotel on property”
