Disney’s Value category resorts consist of All Star Sports, All Star Music, All Star Movies, Pop Century and in 2012 Disney will add the newest entry Art of Animation. With Orlando’s exploding hotel capacity offering at times much lower rates than on property hotels, Disney fought back by developing their own style of discount no frills hotel. The themeing at these resorts is larger than life and for some over the top, with the smallest rooms on property, however the price is right for an on Disney property hotel and you will be immersed in the Disney magic from the time you arrive until you leave!
If you are on a limited budget and must stay on property any of the Value Resorts would be worth the money. Some of the main differences between these and the moderates or deluxe hotels are that the Value Resorts do not have water slides in their pools, have very limited room service, tend to be further away from the major parks, offer only bus transportation to the parks, only food court style restaurants and tend to have smaller rooms. However the All Star Music and Art of Animation Resorts both offer family suites.
How small are the rooms? Well, they can accommodate up to four adults though you may wish to consider getting a second room unless you are very close. However for two adults and two small children one room should suffice. The fact is when most people go to Disney they do not plan to spend their days in the room so a small room is a minor inconvenience to be able to stay on property. If you like lots of space and quiet places this is not the resort for you. These resorts tend to have the most children and to be the noisiest.
